Does Vercel have a hard spending cap?

Yes Per the docs as of Oct 14, 2026: Spend Management can automatically pause production deployments of all projects when you hit a spend amount. Setting an amount alone doesn't stop usage.

How do I turn on a spending limit in Vercel?

1. Team Settings > Spend Management: enable and set the spend amount (USD).
2. Make sure the Pause Production Deployments switch is Enabled.
3. Confirm by typing your team name and select Continue.
4. Optional: add a webhook and SMS notifications.

What happens when the Vercel limit is hit?

Vercel pauses production deployments for all projects; visitors see a 503 until you resume each project.

Gotchas
